in the January 2005 issue of CSO Magazine, the editor says that
The offense of plagiarism, which when I was in grade school was sold, persuasively, as the basest kind of intellectual dishonesty, is now practiced with an online shrug by eighth-graders shortcutting on homework...
He goes on to connect hackers, violence induced by video game immersion experiences, and a general decline in morals in our society. I think he makes a good point. If you are willing to be dishonest in the little things, you are willing to be dishonest in the big things too.
